More than a Fish Kill Screening

A powerful event at ANU's Immersia 2024 festival: More than a Fish Kill.

This special screening, presented in partnership with the National Museum of Australia and the Cad Factory, will be followed by a panel discussion exploring cross-cultural and cross-sector collaboration for water justice and cultural flows.

The panel, facilitated by CIEHF’s Professor Simon Haberle, features Dr Vic McEwan, Dr Kirsten Wehner, Associate Professor Ray Tobler (CIEHF), and Ngunnawal custodian Bradley Bell. Together, they will delve into how art, science, and Indigenous knowledge can unite to protect our rivers and communities.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first peoples, knowledge‐holders, and knowledge-creators of this country. We acknowledge that First Nations people never ceded their lands or seas. We value the knowledge and traditions that reflect the wisdom of ancestors going back 65,000 years and more and recognise the significance of this in the ways that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are custodians of Country. We will continue to learn ways to care for and be responsible for Country, and we will seek to build a future that is based on truth‐telling, mutual understanding, hope, empowerment, and self‐determination.
